Advanced Learning Environments

3 semester hours

Course Description:

      This course focuses on the skill, knowledge, and materials development that are necessary in the provision of a developmentally appropriate environment for young children ages birth to nine.  Field experiences required.

 Course Outcomes:

      The student will:

·        Obtain knowledge of appropriate materials necessary to enhance learning in a developmentally appropriate Early Childhood environment.

·        Develop skills necessary to provide a developmentally appropriate Early Childhood environment.

·        Gain an understanding of the effect of developmentally appropriate environments and their relationship to Early Childhood education.
